Privacy Policy

1. Plain-English summary

Draw Anime is built to be the boring kind of app for privacy: it has no user account, no login, and no required cloud sync. Everything you create — drawings, templates you've opened, your language and theme preferences — lives only on your phone until you choose to share it.

• There is no account to create and nothing to log in to.
• The current version of the app does not include any third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK.
• The current version does not read or transmit your Advertising ID. The AD_ID permission is explicitly removed from the app manifest.
• Camera frames are used only as a live tracing overlay on your screen. They are never recorded, saved, copied or transmitted anywhere.

2. Who we are

"Draw Anime", "we", "us" and "our" refer to EveryBit, the publisher of the Draw Anime Android application available on Google Play under package name studio.lumicanvas.draw.

3. Data we collect

None that leaves your device. The app does not have a backend server and does not send any personally identifying information, behavioural information, or device identifiers to us or to any third party.

Data that the app stores locally on your device only:

• Your finished drawings, saved into the app's private storage and, if you tap Save, into your device gallery.
• The list of templates you have recently opened (so the "Recently opened" row works).
• Your preferences — language picker, theme (Light / Dark / System), and dynamic-color toggle.
• A small flag remembering whether you've completed onboarding.

You can clear all of the above at any time from Settings → Reset preferences, or by uninstalling the app.

4. Android permissions and why each is requested

• Camera — used only while the in-app camera viewfinder is open as a live tracing background. Frames are processed in memory on your device and discarded as soon as the next frame arrives. They are never saved, copied, uploaded or shared.
• Photos / Media (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES) — used only when you tap "From Your Photos" to pick a reference image you want to draw from. The selected image is read into memory to generate a tracing outline and then discarded.
• Storage (older Android versions only) — used to write a copy of your finished drawing to the device gallery when you tap Save.
• Flashlight — used only when you tap the flashlight toggle inside the in-app camera viewfinder so you can brighten your paper.
• Internet / Network state — declared so the system "Open in browser" intent works when you tap our privacy or terms links, and so dependency libraries function. The app itself does not make outgoing network calls.

You can revoke any of these permissions at any time in Android's system Settings → Apps → Draw Anime → Permissions.

5. Data we share with third parties

None at this time. The current version of the app does not include any third-party analytics, attribution, or crash-reporting SDK, and does not transmit personal data to any third party. If a future version introduces such an SDK (for example to support optional advertising), this policy will be updated and the "Last updated" date at the top will change — please re-read this section after each app update.

The only third party that may receive any information from your device in connection with the app is Google Play itself, which handles app distribution and update delivery. Google's handling of those interactions is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

6. Where data is stored and for how long

All app data is stored on your device:

• Drawings — in the app's private internal storage, plus optionally a copy in your device gallery when you explicitly save.
• Preferences (theme, language, dynamic color, onboarding flag) — in the app's private Android DataStore.
• Recently-opened templates list — in a small private Room database.

All of this is removed when you uninstall the app or when you use Settings → Reset preferences and clear the gallery manually.

7. Children's privacy

Draw Anime does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). Because the app does not collect or transmit personal data at all, no child-directed disclosure is triggered.

The app is rated Rated for 3+ on Google Play and complies with Google Play's Families Policy.

8. Your rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, India DPDP, LGPD)

Because we do not collect, store, or process any personal data on any server, most of the access / deletion / portability rights granted by privacy laws such as the EU GDPR, UK GDPR, California CCPA/CPRA, India's DPDP Act and Brazil's LGPD are satisfied automatically: there is nothing held by us to access, export, correct, or delete.

For data held locally on your device, you have full control:

• Access — everything is visible inside the app (My Collection, Recently opened, Settings).
• Delete — delete individual drawings from My Collection, clear recently-opened from Settings, reset preferences, or uninstall the app.
• Object / restrict / withdraw consent — revoke any Android permission at any time from system Settings.
• Complain — you may always lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Security

Because the app does not transmit data, the main security surface is the device itself. We rely on Android's built-in app sandbox and scoped storage to protect the app's private directory from other apps. The release APK is shipped signed with our private upload key and distributed only through Google Play.

10. Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy — for example by adding a new feature that handles data differently — we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where the change is significant, surface a notice the next time you open the app. Continued use of the app after the notice means you accept the updated policy.
